Yah, I'd say your house is pretty normal, kids are just so fun aren't they? We just finally got a chore chart going, again, seems to keep em' motivated for about a week, than it's back to 'normal' for us too.
I think its normal untill the "kids" are in their 20s. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
